Gather Sacred - Mal & Erin-66.jpg

Before we continue with the details of this program, let us tell you why women across the world – with a deep and fundamental interest in providing support throughout the childbearing journey – have gathered to howl at the moon, dance under the stars, and join together to radically shift the birth experience.

The program gives a deep confidence in your ability to safely teach prenatal yoga. Many yoga teachers are hesitant about the idea of teaching yoga for soon-to-be-moms because it entails an immense amount of responsibility. For example, before launching this program, we asked a number of yoginis what fears they had about teaching prenatal yoga. The answers were varied, of course, but several common themes emerged. One yogini expressed that she was worried about accidentally hurting the expecting mother – or her baby.

This fear – and other fears – are completely valid and honored. This course was designed to meet your fears head-on – and transform them with the light of love and experiential learning.

After successfully completing this program, you will have a depth of knowledge to draw from to serve the world. This course gives you a deep well of knowledge and experience to create tools to support the world – including your current students as well as childbearing women and mothers who reach out to you for guidance and support. Your cultivated wisdom will provide you with greater opportunities to show up in your truth and explore the depth of your teaching practice.

The course instills in you the presence and clarity to hold space for a woman's own self-empowerment, creating greater, deeper connection with her own body for the sacred rite of passage that is pregnancy and birth. Every day, thousands of women around the world search for a safe space to experience the miracle of pregnancy, away from the fear, shame, and guilting practices of modern society. You can be a pivotal, conscious part of this process by committing to awaken the wise woman within you to support the creation of the next generation.

Gather with a community of fierce, awe-inspiring humans who will inspire you to honor the magic of your physical body, stimulate spiritual evolution, and radically reshape your understanding of your purpose in this world.  Be a part of a community made up of people who thrive most when they are living in harmony with the Earth, who are all here to learn zealously, to celebrate the Divine Feminine in us all, and to connect with the essence of womanly existence. Our spirits are wild and untamed here – and we would love for you to join us.

Tuition for This Comprehensive Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training

Investment in this immersive training is $2,500 USD.

The cost is all-inclusive, covering all meals and lodging – as well as 85 hours of in-depth prenatal yoga teacher training (the tuition does not, however, include your air fare to and from Costa Rica, or transportation after your arrival). There is a reason why many women are drawn to reserving their sacred space in this program – there is nothing else quite like it in the world.

The entire program takes place in a permaculture farm (called Finca Armonia) located near Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. The permaculture farm is an eco-conscious habitat; it gives our students an experience that is starkly different from the day-to-day living of modern, high-tech society. It gives you the opportunity to “disconnect” from the minute-by-minute distractions of our fast-paced lives, so you can focus completely on mastering, understanding, and grasping prenatal yoga practices. You won’t have television or readily available WiFi or other outside distractions. Instead, you will find strength and support in a soul-centered community of women eager to explore their own inner conditions and the prenatal dimensions of yoga. You will read a little more about the permaculture farm and community, below.

The training will be lead by Usha Anandi with support from world class faculty sourced from around the globe. Usha inspires the awakening of your inner wise woman through her connections with Eastern Yogic practices and Western holistic nutrition – giving you a well-rounded, thoroughly grounded understanding of prenatal yoga practices. Her fiery passion for supporting, empowering, and uplifting women throughout the process of conscious conception, sacred birth, and nurturing postnatal care takes you on an embodied journey. She has lead hundreds of wombxn through transformational programs, retreats, and yoga teacher trainings internationally in India, Costa Rica, Mexico, the US, and Canada. For this course, Usha will share her knowledge and experience in womb healing, anatomy, women's wisdom traditions, and birth practices.

Since the intensive takes place in the jungles of Costa Rica, your training will be held deep in the heart of Mother Earth. The learning environment at Finca Armonia allows you to go deep into your practice. Everything here is designed to root you firmly to Mother Earth. Even the food you eat is organic (and delicious, too!) – coming straight from the gardens of the permaculture farm. Lodging is provided by eco-conscious, recycled container homes. So if you’re drawn to the idea of transforming your yoga practice amongst howling monkeys, rain-swollen clouds rolling across the sky, and the murmuring voice of the wind playing with the leaves and trees of the jungle – then you’ll love what we have for you here at our permaculture community.

In a few words, this 85 hour yoga teacher training is one of the most powerful prenatal yoga programs. It turns your understanding of yoga from fundamental to prenatal – and in a way that will leave your soul glowing with the flame of empowered femininity and sisterhood.

This program completely restructured and reformed my consciousness. It allowed me to bring more love in my life through many physical along with mental/emotional challenges.”

Not Ready to Get Really Uncomfortable? Then This Probably Isn’t For You

IMG_2199.JPG
UD59.jpg

The truth is this – if you’re not ready and willing to go through some pretty intense emotional discomfort, then this program definitely isn’t for you. This program will shatter the boundaries of your comfort zone. It can, at times, get emotionally exhausting because you will come face to face with the deep shame, fear, and disconnection that many women feel towards their bodies as a result of dominant cultural beliefs and narratives indoctrinated in us since birth, and even before. Don't worry sister, you aren't in this alone - together we will nurture, laugh, sing, and dance our way back to healing.

Unraveling these feelings – digging into them before uprooting them – is an uncomfortable, but liberating, process. It is not an experience that is for everyone. For those not willing to lean in trust the process and sit in their discomfort, it might cause a desire to quit the program and run away.  If this sounds like you, then this program is definitely not a great fit.

If, however, you are more than willing to put yourself through the storm of emotional release – understanding and accepting that you will at times you may be very triggered, and that you won’t walk out of here without having undergone a soul-shaking transformation of Self – then this just might be for you. We’re ready to meet you at the soul level, sister.

FAQS

For quick reference, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions. The answers to your remaining questions about this program might be found here; if not, you are more than welcome to schedule a call with Usha, and she will happily address them with you.

 What is the general schedule?

Please see the specific program page for details on the schedule. You should plan to be fully available for the duration of the course.

Who typically comes to your programs?

We welcome all shapes, sizes, races, sexes, genders, religions, and orientations to our programs. That being said, many of our students are women from the ages of 20 - 35 who are deeply called to empower their inner feminine, release their shame, and step more fully into themselves. We have formed a strong sisterhood, and we welcome brothers into our spiritual family with open arms.

How do I get to you? Where exactly are you located?

We are located on the Southern Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica in a small town called Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. The best way to get to us is to fly into Juan Santamaria Airport (SJO) and take a shuttle to Puerto Viejo. We recommend booking Caribe Shuttle for your transportation. Be sure to check their departure schedules before you book your flight. Their shuttles leave Denny’s Restaurant twice a day, which is about 5 minutes away from the airport by taxi.

Can I bring my children?

We are unable to host children at Finca Armonia due to the all inclusive, intensive format.

Where should I stay during, before or after the program?

When you register, you receive a Welcome Packet with tons of great, budget-specific information on where to stay both in San Jose or Puerto Viejo before or after your intensive program.

What can I expect in terms of weather?

We are blessed to live in complete harmony with nature and experience ALL of her wild cycles (possibly in one day) here in the Caribbean. You can expect to be blessed by the radiant Caribbean sun and the intense Caribbean rain that beats down on the jungle canopy. Honoring Mother Nature in all her forms is an integral part of our practice here at Womben Wellness.

What should I bring with me?

Once you place your deposit, you will receive a detailed list of items to bring that are required for the course. Two weeks before the course begins, you will receive a packing list and helpful travel information about your upcoming trip.

 What about internet access?

Expect to be disconnected from the internet most of the time, and connected with your spiritual family and the nature that surrounds you. If you need constant access to WiFi to keep in touch with work, etc. – it is better to find a different program. Our program is about unplugging so you really nourish yourself in a meaningful way.

What are the expectations around daily discipline?

The boundaries and expectations for our programs will be outlined on the first day of class. They include a vegetarian diet, abstinence, periods of silence, and more. We call our programs intensives for a reason. We go deep. Be ready to show up for yourself and your practice every day to fully experience everything the program has to offer.

How much experience in yoga should I have before doing the course?

These are the only requirements needed for you to participate in this course: an unyielding interest in exploring and expanding your knowledge base of empowered prenatal practices; a drive to fully awaken your own divine feminine; and an unapologetic curiosity and desire for deep transformation of self.

 How does payment work?

To reserve your space in one of our personal transformation intensives, we ask that you make a deposit of 30% of the total price by following the payment link. We accept payment by debit card or credit card. The final payment for the training is due 60 days before the program start date, and you will receive an automated reminder email with a link to submit payment. If you would prefer smaller installments, please email us and we can easily find a solution that serves you.

Do you offer scholarships? What about work exchange?

We have a few early bird scholarships that have VERY limited availability. More information about our scholarship opportunities for upcoming programs can be found by emailing [email protected]. We don’t currently accept work exchange for our trainings or intensives.

What do I need to bring?

A list of essential items will be sent to your inbox via email once you place your 30% deposit.

 What is the cancellation/refund policy?

All deposits are non-refundable. However, they are transferable, so if for whatever reason you place your deposit and can’t join us, you can give your spot to someone else. All deposits are valid through the next calendar year, so you may apply your payment to a future program that fits a change in your schedule.

How do I know if this is NOT the program for me?

If you aren’t ready to dive into the depths of your soul, discover places where you feel uncomfortable, and release the layers of yourself that cause you suffering – this is not the program for you. We live in the jungle where the energy of Mother Nature is strong. It’s humid – the air is thick here. There are truly huge bugs. Rain will wet your hair, with your feet trudging in mud. Simply put, this is not the program for you if you are not ready to commit to your growth 100%.

How do I know if this IS the program for me?

This is the program for you if you're ready to change your life. If you have come to a place in life where you're at a crossroads and looking for new direction, this is the program for you. If you are ready to face your deepest fears, express yourself, and be fully loved, seen, and accepted for who you are – this is the program for you. We have been waiting for you.

Why This Program Will Transform Your Relationship to Yourself + Others – Hear It Directly from Our Graduates!

There is no doubt that this program caused a seismic shift in how I see the world and how I see myself. I stood in the mud, hand in hand amongst powerful sisters as we navigated our way through hurt, pain, and love. I leave this training renewed and with a resounding mission to empower the divine feminine through prenatal yoga and beyond.
— 2018 Graduate
I was deeply impressed and grateful for the softness and deep love of the teachers in supporting everyone’s individual transformations. The level of scientific knowledge, evidence, and ancient traditions were held very high and with humility and integrity.
