The last Full Moon of 2019 takes place in Gemini on 12/12 at 12:12am EDT. This also happens to be the day when Chiron (the “wounded healer” planet) stations and ends its retrograde cycle.

Gemini is an air sign that craves stimulation, communication, consuming information and diversity. Bored easily, this sign loves to keep things fresh and is skilled at shape-shifting and adapting to fit a variety of situations. Its opposite sign – Sagittarius – prefers depth and has a penchant for seeking out the truth.

Gemini reminds us not to take life too seriously.

As we approach the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere you may be feeling the impact of being in the darkness now for the last few months.

This full moon serves as a shiny reminder that the light will return again.

Most planets are now in direct motion and the last few weeks of 2019 may feel like they are flying by. These last few weeks are the last in a decade.

As we get ready to shift into 2020 this Full Moon supports us in releasing and letting go of anything we’d like to leave behind.

Full Moon and Menstruation

Written by Usha Anandi, Founder of Womben Wellness

The last full moon of this year offers us a potent portal to look into the depths of our own darkness to find light.

Grandmother Moon is the original timekeeper.

For thousands of years, humans have lived by the light of the moon. We have planted, sowed, and harvested seeds by her light.

For those who bleed, the moon holds a special place of power. Her luminous rays direct the energy of our physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies by influencing the cycle of menstruation.

The video below is offered to support those who bleed during the full moon.

Remember, there is no right time to bleed.

Noticing when your body bleeds in accordance to the moon offers you information as to where your body is in relation to the Earth and her cycles.

Questions for Integration…

Do you notice if your period aligns with a specific phase of the moon?

At what phase of the moon do you feel the most energized, creative, and outwardly expressive?

At what phase of the moon do you feel the most sensitive, intuitive, and inward-turning?

Let me know what comes up for you on our private Facebook group.

In our Six-Week Womb Sciences Online Immersion, I teach an entire module on menstruation and the moon. I don’t know about you, but I never learned about my menstrual cycle in school. And I definitely didn’t learn about the specific hormonal, emotional, and spiritual changes that take place every phase. I grew up thinking my period was a curse, until one day I realized – I was going to have to live with this thing for the next 40 some years… I might as well make friends with it!

That’s why I geek out about menstruation, in a BIG way. I love offering women’s health education that empowers you to reconnect with your cycle and see your period as a source of POWER, instead of a curse.

And that’s the reason why you can join our Womb Sciences Six-Week Online Immersion anytime so you can learn to live from a deeply feminine, receptive and fully ALIVE place…
